'96 To Infinity



Watering down the demons
Stemming from the deep canyons infused in my brain,
I try to reassemble my scattered thoughts —
I think I’m going insane.

My vision is steadily fading,
My stomach is turning constantly.
The spot where once my heart took solace,
Is now a half-empty sieve.

Time, is running away.
The liquid, is turning black.
I’m getting short of breath,
There is no escaping the fact.

One… Two… Three…
A swift, strong force is hitting my chest.
I cannot feel my fingers, and I am suddenly getting colder.
In the background, sounds a subtle beep. I feel a constriction—arrest…
