A Beautiful Sonrisa Poem by Virendra Solankar

A Beautiful Sonrisa

In a world full of modern day complexities
you are a lucid symphony playing all notes of my heart
I meet you everyday except my eyes meet
yours and yours neglect mine I jump in joy
at end of horizon of your smile wondering
its such gift such a lift for my soul
like a medicine altering biology of the chemicals in my body
I am such a poor thief I pity myself sometimes, cant even steal moments with you
now that you know my intentions wish I was more secretive
and yeah I made a lot of noise but my admiration for you
left me no choice wondering
'godddddddddd how can someone be so good sweet beautiful thoughtful'
perplexed whom to appreciate you or the creator or that smile
everytime you are around me I am starstruck
wishing I could ask you for a coffee with me in starbucks
you might think my silence is my ignorance
but its my innocence my confidence dies
hiding from my cheeks going red running away
making my bed so that I could dream again
about you, steal some moments in wonderland
just like alice and drink a chalice of happiness
and wish you good night, stew thou-art dreams
'tudu du tudu dudu du'
