A Better Day Poem by Kaitlin Parsons

A Better Day

she's crying on the inside
she'll never let him know
because it wouldnt matter
he'll never let her go
she's covered up the bruises
the ring around her neck
she wants to stop the fuses
but she cant no not yet
so she keeps pretending
keeps trying to defend
the tries are always useless
only hurt is at the end
she continues on to smile
acting as if nothings wrong
deep inside she cries
as suicide plays like a song
