A Better Wind. Poem by Deepak Calyampoondi

A Better Wind.

A rising sun, Smilingly beams,
The welcoming winds caress and sing,
And today we awake to the jingle bells,
The sparrows chirp that all is well.

A rising thought from an inspiring mind,
The pen nods and the notes remind,
The summer whispers, who am i?
The heat evaporates into a lovely smile.

The evening breeze is cool and shy,
The leaves from the trees simply fly,
With love in the air and a million homes welcome,
Their darlings who come back to their nests.

The nights are always memories to remember,
The time spent with family and friends,
Forget all your slumber and dream,
For a brighter tomorrow is near as it seems.

A better wind, indeed.
