A Bite On The Nose Poem by Anemone Flynn

A Bite On The Nose

Rating: 2.8

Has love ever bitten you right on the nose?
I'm driven to think that that's not how it goes.

You like a pair of eyes, a chin,
A sense of humor, a smile - what then?

Do you wait for an infatuation to grow
And think to yourself, 'That's how I'll know'?

Or do you sit yourself down in a corner to think
'Will his personality drive me to drink? '

The first's sensibility, the second is sense.
I see both approaches as equally dense.

I don't have an answer, at least not quite yet.
But it's somewhere between the two, I'll bet.
