A Blackened Soul Poem by Lauren Harper

A Blackened Soul

Taking my hand,
You lightened my charcoal soul.

Taking my heart,
You mended what was broke.

Grasping my mind,
You whispered words deathly kind.

Reaching for my thoughts,
You cleared all false words, that captivated my mind.

Looking into my eyes,
You dried my tears with a smile filled with delight.

Then you bored into my very soul,
Speaking so to fix all that the world had evoked.
