Oh, nights of darkness and of peace
When all the world has found release
From bustling noise and frantic pace
And found instead a quiet grace.
The stars above, they twinkle bright
A blanket of peace in the night
A soothing balm for restless minds
And solace for the weary kinds.
The moon, it rises in its might
A beacon in the inky night
A symbol of hope and of dreams
And peace for all, or so it seems.
The shadows cast by moon and stars
Bring mystery and deep memoirs
Of secrets held within the night
And all the hidden wonders in sight.
Oh, nights of silence, how we yearn
For your solace and your return
When all the world is hushed and still
And we can rest, our souls refill.
So here's to nights of peace and calm
A balm for all of life's alarm
May we find rest and sweet repose
And rise again when daylight glows.
