A Blessing Poem by Ricardo Cepeda

Today something different has happened,
I met a pair of eyes so sweet that I couldn’t stop looking.
This night has been one that will always stay with me,
Looking at me could only be a gem from God himself.
I saw someone that could never be taken from any memory,
With the most luscious hair so soft,
Today I have truly lived to the fullest.
I watched as awe as she walked up to me,
More graceful than a dove, more beautiful than a flower,
Then she spoke, oh and did the words do much to the heart.
Next a hug with the gentlest touch,
An aroma with a sweet scent,
She doesn’t even know how much she is,
More than a gift, she is a blessing.
