A Bond Of Amity Poem by Gautam Sen

A Bond Of Amity

Today the morning strangely emerged with great difference,
a plausible change to its customary appearance
showed me the golden gate of treasure house of happiness –
beaming friendship – new and fresh, brought for me by God to bless.
No delay on my part, no wavering whatsoever,
with a wide-open heart I soared to secure the favour.

An acceptance assured value added to my honour,
my honest want or wish for amity welcomed this fervor.
A glinting soul bird I found flying into my abode,
disturbed inside with her heart full of stresses to unload.
My patient ears transformed her mind’s moot worries to comfort.
She sang her songs of blues finding me as her last resort.

My forlorn songs ended up in an ocean of friendship,
the songbird since then stayed with me, her grieves were made to snips.

Friendship is the greatest treasures.....some times your best friends become your soulmates and in the gentle process of easing their pains...we lose track of our worries....a gentle tribute to friendship......I like the idea of the bird....lovely write....thank you.
