A Brief For Whitey Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

A Brief For Whitey

Yes, that's what he said
wiping the smile from his face
as he ranted about things
he knows nothing about
a man of ripeness
and yet bereft of wisdom

Thank your friend for opening
a door to the inner sanctum
of knowledge and history,
I would say to him

There are just some things
an honest man cannot deny
