A Broken Heart Anthem. Poem by Dolapo Tajudeen

A Broken Heart Anthem.

Letting you go isn't easy
Yet, holding onto you is uneasy.
How come all you bring is pain,
When all I gave was plain and germane?
'You', happening so fast I can't recall.
But tho tragedy you bring, nowhere to run.
Once, I've prayed you come and play,
Now, I'm praying you far and away.
But still, indecision and confusion sets on.
I want you here, but since you ain't here, I pray you don't dare.
I need you far, when you are, I pray you back.
You've made me mad,
You've made me glad.
What else can you do to make an add?
Nothing much, my love is now bald.
I appreciate the times,
But time struck me hard.
Saving myself ambiguously,
All I needed was a mentality.
Then, tragedy becomes a world to my feelings (past) ,
And comedy, a life lived for my thinking (present) .
