A Carefree Ant Poem by Maria Gallego- Jiménez

A Carefree Ant

Rating: 5.0

During an early morn

while my sleep was sound

I dreamt that my right ear

Was tickled by a stranger.

It's not a vivid dream

But I could feel the kittle.

I scratched it inside,

didn't dare to wake up

I just kept on sleeping.

A few moments later,

I was tickled again.

This time, it was hurting

Thereby I awakened.

Asked my mom to check it

I was a bit worried,

I could feel it's an insect

She checked but couldn't see,

What was hurting my ear.

She quickly grabbed a baby oil

And poured it in my ear.

I could feel the pressure,

It hurt my ear more

I decided to get a cotton bud

I poked it in the ear

Then I saw a carefree ant

Never budged to run

I gave it to my mom

And she threw it somewhere alive
