A Challenge

A human ambition to conquer peaks,
It's recognition, that everyone seeks.
But why do we search, for lofty heights,
Instead of lowering our aspiring sights
Down to the level of the human eye,
Where the unconquered peaks, really lie.
For mountains of misery and peaks of pain,
Await conquerors, that seek not fame.
