A Child Poem by Marie Brown

A Child

A child unknow to the perils of life,
with dreams of success and glory.
A high flyer,
An extrovert,
Just a child.
Its impossible to tell what may lay ahead,
but all you can do,
is be there.
To help that child,
to help them when their dreams may shatter,
to support them when they want to give up
and to push them when they need a helping hand.
But one must never forget,
the dreams of a child are unique, untouched and unlived.
