A Child's Bucket List Poem by Georgia Leana Benedictos

A Child's Bucket List

I really envy a child running outside
Because here I am lying on my bed
Waiting for the bright light
To shine upon my head.
I am a child, a helpless child
I want to have a future
But how if I will just die
I did everything, I tried.
Few years ago, I said I won't give up
But I grew up, grew tired.
If I can turn back time
But why do I have to die?
I tried a hundredfold
I cried a bucket of tears
Gratify my wish
To read a child's bucket list.
