A Child's First Month Poem by Natasa To

A Child's First Month

A Child's First Month

A little soul came into light,
A tiny star, so warm and bright.
With little hands and sleepy eyes,
A brand-new world before them lies.

The first day brought a gentle cry,
A mother's smile, a father's sigh.
In loving arms, so safe and warm,
The baby slept through every storm.

The days went by, so soft and slow,
Learning the world they did not know.
A little smile, a tiny sound,
Brought endless happiness around.

The nights were long, the mornings new,
With dreams of skies and oceans blue.
Each little breath, each sleepy face,
Filled every heart with love and grace.

And then one month had passed away,
Thirty little nights and days.
A tiny life had just begun,
A journey underneath the sun.

No one knows what dreams will grow,
Or where those little footsteps go.
But wrapped in love, so pure and true,
A whole wide world is waiting too.
