A Child's Questions



When a child I had unanswered questions
Some old man brought me from his fairy
Imaginations wondrous answers. Whenever
I repeated them taking Allah as my Witness
I was bullied and threatened slapped on the
Face and rebuked rejected like an outsider
How lonely I felt. Still when I ask myself those
Mere questions, O Allah, I wonder why not…
