A Christmas Cheer! Poem by Vicky Curtin

A Christmas Cheer!

Rating: 5.0

Ssh Ssh listen
way up in the sky
The jingle jangle of the bells
as Santa Claus flies by

And even though
the sky is dark
The stars they shine so bright
To light the way for Santa's sleigh
On this magical Christmas night

He visits houses near and far
of all the girls and boys
Leaves the reindeer on the roof
and grabs his sack of toys

The children leave their stockings out
and head away to bed
Mince pies, whiskey, carrots
Santa and reindeer to be fed

Then swiftly down the chimney
with a tickle of his nose
He leaves the toys and presents
and away away he goes

With a chuckle out across the sky
and a wave to all below
He'll be back next year
to raise a cheer

Merry Christmas
HO HO HO!

This poem saved me from the Xmas crazies. It has been read to my 2 sons 4 times now (and about to go again) I became a member so I could thank you. Do you write poems for kids? My boys love this one. Simon (3yrs) says it makes me feel cwasmiss isn't gone. So Thank you Vicky. Sonya
