A Close Encounter Poem by KUNAL SETH

A Close Encounter

Rushing in Rushing Out
Lovers like fools
Giving happiness a chance
Some lies look beautiful in pictures and who wouldn’t dance
Two lives swearing to be one
Sanity closing its eyes tonight
Easy slide into the beautiful abyss
Memory is the favourite residue sticking to us like glue
We don’t stop we want more
How often does greed take over?
Some sins are oblivious to others
Some sins are more enjoyed than expressed
Every movement in perfection
Crafted by hands of passion herself
There she smells of desire
Wrapped in sheets her only attire
Wish I was a painter or was she right out of a painting
It doesn’t matter if the lights are black
Shadows can sleep cuz we agreed not to be brief.
