Green paddy fields
The rice bowl of india
Ruled by cholas
Wherein farmers of India
happy and honoured
Lead a life of dignity
Neither cholas exist now
Nor farmers exist now
Green fields disappearing
Cement Gardens rising
Oh! What a mishap
in the Chola Kingdom alone?
Whole india is into the garden of stone
Money makes man mad
Money turns the field into condominium
Birds say in distress
'No cages, my home in trees'
Elephants say in annoyance
'Where's my woods? '
Children cry in vain
'Suffocation, it's paining.'
Man turned money into skyscrapers
Money turned gardens to grave
'Oh, Mother India!
How will you feed Indians?
Cries the poet
With a heavy heart
