A Cup Of Coffee Poem by Elishah Irodistan

A Cup Of Coffee

Erstwhile friendships, unwritten denouement
Vanished memories, knocking nostalgia
Embers of the past turned to sober ashes
Night stars faintly glowed with your promises.
If into the seasons you set your heart,
Neither here nor there with me is your art.
Guessing logic may not be my cup of tea,

I wish I fade away from your memory.
Night's solitude is often with music
Songs are threats, bloody were its lyrics
Only you could reverse its sweet meanings...
My heart set sails to the metaphors of your feelings.
Nigh sunrise lulled my reminiscence
Invading my restless ocean to calm its impatience.
A cup of coffee stirred my mind's silence.
