A Day For Love Poem by Sean C. Harrison

A Day For Love

It's indeed a day to measure the measureless span
Of time with love as we grasp it with our hands.
Days are few. Let's make them count
For love though not wasted can be lost in doubt.
We see our tears all frozen in time
And we stand in awe to see its sweet rhyme.
As this day chronicles emotion so strong
We'll know from our soul we could never be wrong.
For the road that brought us to this altar was steep
But the will that held us was God's own to keep.
And now those who witness this treasure unearthed
Must stand in accord as we sum our love's worth.
Let this bond we share not be severed forever;
Our pledge still be strong to weather all weather.
A day for love is surely this day for bliss
As we seal our fates with the tenderest kiss
To show this whole world we both are one
Till time has ended and life is done.
