A Deadly Game Of Tag Poem by Ellie Lumley

A Deadly Game Of Tag

Silently, without a sound

it made it's way in

rounding every corner

leaving behind it's firey path

more and more

as time went on

the fire grew

though yet no signs

the search went on

days

weeks

months

passing by

nothing

until that very day

the search had ended

huntee became hunted

it was then the attacker

struck

quiet as a mouse

though quiet it was

it was enough to bring notice

caught, knowing it had to act fast

if it were to fullfill it's task

all that could be done was tried

but failed the prey did so

a chase now complete

the cat had gotten his mouse..

and the cancer...

had it's victory.
