A Distant Friend Poem by Rahul Sudan

Her heart seems to beat for me,
Her mind seems to think of me,
Her eyes seems to dream of me,
Her lips seems to sing for me,
Where she is just a distant friend.

If I do not talk to her,
She gets worried and asks why,
If I do not reply to her,
She gets hurt and asks why,
Whatever I do now, it is related to her,
Where she is only a distant friend.

Her life seems to be connected with my life now,
As she want me to share all I have to say,
All I have been through,
And whatever hurts me,
She is all concerned of me,
She is a distant friend.

I do not know if she is in need of me,
Or if I am in need of her,
But I know this she is for me somehow,
Thus she has a place in my heart,
And gonna be forever in my life,
Where she is only a distant friend.
