A Dream Beyond Repair - Poem by Engy El Ghanam

In a page unwritten in a fairy tale
To a point of no return
In the rage of sea they sail
And to the shore they yearn
To rise above the pain they want
But is it what they will
Go past the fear they don’t,
Its killing all the thrill
Head back is a choice not given
Lost track to who they were
It’s a boat not a dream they live in
Broken beyond repair
Tomorrow is here today
a touch of what's unknown
a lil of what they have to pay
For yesterday’s loan
They pass unmentioned as their dream
But stories never die
Tales are never what they seem
Too sweet.too sore, all wrapped in one big lie.
