The pursuit of happiness lingers on
two steps ahead at the next corner to come
we are doomed so equally
why envy him or her or me!
i laugh today, i cry tomorrow, you cry today
resent me not for the grudge comes to stay
like the roller coaster are the twists of life
the blade of bitterness cuts as sharp as a knife
ahead of you today, behind you am tomorrow
the chain of consequence is responsible for your sorrow
ahead of you i am, behind me you will stay
if you didnt understand the price you have to pay
look at the stars at night how much they shine!
burnt ten thousand years ago, but still hold a sign
they dont exist but them we see
what time grants us is what to be
sometimes i question my being here and i dont know
am i an image for the me that used to be some years ago!
am i the one who lives the present! am i the past!
a mere replay of all whats gone, a stream of memories playing fast!
Am i the sin to last!
am i! am i the past!
do i lead this life of mine, am i living my resurrection !
a flash back highlighting my bad selections!
the music in the background and the curtains shed....
is it real or just a hit on the back of the head!
the truth sometimes can stand too close for the eyes to see
the fear inside is the anger drifting me
can the rage bid the eyes wide open!
can the chain of pattern be broken!
its said that those who fight hard to float will sink
they dont want to give one moment up to stop and think.
why do you pin your eyes on luck and stare! !
why eliminate the probabilities you daily spare!
and you in the mirror...you look so much like me
we suffer just the same.. fairly and so equa...lly
