A Dream Of You - Poem by jason mcgookin

I dreamt of you last night
i held you in my arms so tight
not once did your face fade
not until love we made
we laid upon the bed bare
for once we didnt have a care
then realisation of heartfelt pain
when i woke up alone again
the time for us to be together
is when i close my eyes forever
for days and months have gone
yet i wake to another dawn
i take a walk down the road
the cemetery is now your humble abode
take care my love
ill see you soon

I like your use of rhyme here, It works with your other words, instead of just a random word at the end that rhymes. Interesting topic. (Report)Reply
