A Dream On Christmas Night Poem by Lakshmi S Bose

A Dream On Christmas Night

Rating: 5.0

Lights serving on the road
Full of stars burning brightly
Sounds of sleigh bells all around
Blessed carols spreading through air
Sharing music of love together
A day of beautiful times…
Suddenly a splash of darkness
Nothing to see but something to hear
Again a splash of scene crossing over
A group of weeping children, some are handicapped
Some are blind, some are deaf….
Thousands are walking in front of them
They looks very weak and are strangers to others
Begging for a hand, for water, for food or even for a smile
No one is looking behind, all have celebrating their Christmas
My mom put the lights ON..
Suddenly wake up
She whispered something, I ran out from my room
Outside full of sounding crackers…
All are playing, cutting cakes, full of joy
In the rush a man called, Annie…
Give a candle to me and walked with him..
He takes my eyes to a place
The place I saw, the place I want to visit…
A second my eyes made tears…
Moved towards that child, just smiled
He happily smiled to me and wished me Happy Christmas
Look back suddenly, I understood i am alone in the place

Thanking you
