A Dreamer's Reality Poem by Carlos Wever

A Dreamer's Reality

Last night I wake up
In the middle of the night

I was holding your hand
But knowing you are not here
I was hearing you voice
But knowing you are not here
I was feeling your touch
But I was alone in my darkened room
I was hearing your heart beating
But not feeling your touch

Was I dreaming?
Did I wake up from a dream within my dream?
Or was it for real

Did I really hold your hand?
Did I really hear your voice?
Did I really feel your touch?
Did I really hear your heart beat?

Was it a feeling in me?
Or was it a dreamer’s reality
