A Eulogy To Sadness Poem by Anonymous Still

A Eulogy To Sadness

A Eulogy to Sadness
You have been a part of me
So much so that people recognize you by looking at me
You for the longest part held my hands
So tightly that my hand still smells the remaining parts of you
I was true even to you
Pardon my loyalty for everything that shows me the deception of love
You of all were the most beautiful and hurting
You, my muse
Ironic I chose art to run from something that inspired it at the first place
You, my teacher, for emotions
Yet in your presence
happiness was always a mirage in the desert of my mind
People mocked me
Advised me to leave you
I even became the synonym of you
A human version of an emotion
Only in the hope that someday you are gonna love me the way I do
And you constantly stood in the way of forgiving myself
But now as I send you in the hearse of memories
I hope we never meet again
And even if we do lets just walk by each other
And pretend we never looked at each other....
