A Few Maxims Poem by Lev Brekhman

A Few Maxims

Never show you are offended,
Never see yourself as victim.
Will not the world be sooner ended,
Than is said the final dictum.
Life is nigh, but death not so,
Look around: trees are leafy.
You're a leaf and no more,
Trees will grow, don't be grievy.
