A Final Reflection Poem by Daryl Posey

A Final Reflection

Rating: 5.0

Our hearts have sunk, as all are moist in the eyes
as nothing is more painful than this final goodbye.
Your absense alone will change lives forever,
for as life without you once considered, no not ever.

Reflecting upon the time together we spent
like the winds of change that came and went
Today faces a seperate journey as were at the roads end
to choose our own paths, our lives to mend

I entrust that God will make up for this loss
for as I know in the future again our roads will cross
Until that moment, to be treasured are the memories we shared

Never to be forgotten by those whom you loved, nurtured, and cared.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In Understanding losses are immeasurable, as equally immeasurable is the love left behind.
-

Plagued with loss, guilt, disparity, and turmoil I wrote this final reflection in an attempt to deal with the passing of my grandfather, to sooth and mend the broken that was left behind. More importantly a dedication to never be forgotten.

In loving memory of C.S. Posey
