A Fisherman's Woes Poem by mike ruthenbeck

A Fisherman's Woes

Yet again, the horizon slips away
As we are but a few miles from the bay
There is just one more moment to say
I love you

Just another charter, and i'm glad to play
Aboard this vessel for under cut pay
If i'l lucky, I'll bring home a filet!
Just because i love you

And as this dawn creeps slowly on
And i think of you, and coffee, and bong
My heart sings a subtly Jubilant song
Just because i love you

Being out, so far at sea
puts me in a place i like to be
Restless until you i see
Because i love you

No matter what, or when, or how between
No matter distances i have ever been
Every "I" in every scene
Just loves you
