A Formless Picture Poem by Pradip Saikia

A Formless Picture

The fire eagle moves into the silky darkness
Fire rains down
A summer bearing a flaming torch
Walks over the sand
As if he is an old self
The oceanic tongue dries up
The forest does not dance in the eyes of the cicada
Through a blazing circle
Jumps
A taming lion
A half burnt man

A hairy spider is enjoying this heavenly scene
Lying down in its net

In the memories of the snakes and the birds
The water of all the seven hells
Gets lost
