A Friend Like You - Poem by Ranock Saing

You’re a special person to me
Forever you’ll always be
I don’t want to have to see you go
Because I know I’ll miss you so
They take away the things that mean the most
And leave the unwanted so close
My heart is very broken
Yet I’m elated to have you as a friend
I’ll cherish our memories especially the times at the mall
When I was broke, my debts, you would pay them all
You were the one to put a smile on my face
In my heart is where you’ll be placed
As you’re slowly leaving here
My eyes are filling up with tears
I’m deeply hurt on the inside
There’s nothing I can do except cry
In this life time, I’ll never forget you
And I’m happy to share a friendship that’s true
