A Future Loss Poem by ashley ridihalgh

A Future Loss

You told me you were leaving,
That someday you would stop breathing.

I cried unable to hold the tears back,
I promised you anything to bring you back.

My heart was breaking,
My sole was shaking.

Unable to face the ultimate cost,
My future loss.
