A Good Old English Brew - Poem by Don Pengilly

There’s nothing I like better
Than a good old British brew
In fact I’d go one better
And have not one but two
It’s thirsty work you see
As you go from day to day
And you have to work your butt of
For very little pay

It’s not that I am grumbling mind
I like what I am doing
It’s just that not one day goes by
Without some good old British brewing
With one thing on my mind
An opportunity to stop you see
To have a break from labour
And drink a mug of good old British tea
