A Handful Of Sand Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

A Handful Of Sand

Rating: 5.0

A handful of sand
Is just a few grains at hand,
The mound of sand
Taken from your own land
Would slither through
The terminal members of the hand
When you take your first step,
The volitionally carried few
Will not stay on for the next step,
The wind may come on the way
To carry some of the grains away,
The countable definite number
In your hand at the journey's end
Is analogous to the specific number
Of mortals who you'd remember
Affectionately till the very end.
