A 'happy' Happy Birthday Poem by Pramod Pisharody

A 'happy' Happy Birthday

Since the morning today,
On my star birthday,
Came many wishes and greetings,
For all new beginnings,
To convey my thanks,
Instead of emoticons, letters and blanks,
I called my loved ones,
And here came a feeling more than once,
I 'saw' happiness in many smiles,
Of all moods, laughs and styles,
I 'heard' happiness in many voices,
Amidst the daily chores and noises,
I 'breathed' happiness in the air,
Of my well wishers deep in prayer,
I 'tasted' happiness in the menus,
In plenty, still many to choose,
I 'felt' happinees with each call,
Any more to come, or that's all?
As the day closes in,
A thought came from within.
Technology brought us virtually near,
But did we drift from each other a little more far?
Let's revive ourselves the traditional way,
And make the next birthday, a 'happy' Happy Birthday'!
