A Heart That Calls For Sincerity Poem by Lucas Pate

A Heart That Calls For Sincerity

A heart that calls for sincerity.
Actual truth in words,
Not phrases spoken without meaning.
A call not for grieve.
Not for pain.
Not for disbelieve.
A call for true caring,
For meaning in the word love.
Remove the ground beneath your feet,
Tell me what you see.
Inevitable defeat.
The same graceful wind that brought you up,
Blew your soul adrift.
A faint pulse,
Fading out.
Nearing the end.
No one is there,
To return the call.
A heart that calls for sincerity,
Lay shattered in the sand.
A soul blown away in the wind.
All hope lost.
Pulse drawing dead.
I am death, The collector.
Join me among the living dead.
