A Holistic Peace Poem by Emeka GOC

A Holistic Peace

A Holistic Peace

The World over, longs for peace, lasting peace
Communities yearning to peaceful coexist in harmony.
Peace is fashionable, yet often thinly defined.
Harmony is pleasant, an orchestrated merry symphony,
But peace is more than the absence of conflict,
More than a permanent pause in violence or hostility.

Peace is equal justice and fairness that precedes calm,
Freedom that nurtures communal welfare and growth.
Emboldens institutions that serve the people,
Communities expanding into cities of commerce
And healthy, thriving and accommodating economies.
Competition becomes constructive, not corrosive.

Peace is freedom from fear and disorder,
The end of violence and active warfare,
Equal rights, equal opportunities,
A chance for every person to blossom
Into emotional peace and a societal tranquility.

Peace personal, strengthens the inner hearts and small world
Mental stability despite external raging storms,
A quiet mind, calm heart and a spiritual stillness.
Integrity kept, agreements honored,
Trust preserved, serenity sustained.

Peace is harmony and tranquility.
Peace is truce, amity, and serenity.
No imposition, no terrorism and no domination.
Peace is coexistence without coercion,
A state of harmony where freedom remains undisturbed.
A maintained peacetime, or even a few sacred moments of peace.
Are you longing for peace too? ? ?
