A Horrible Day Break - Poem by Francis G. Kariuki

As the alarm clock rings
A sinister sensation cloaks
Like a bad egg in the mouth
Yak! Disgusted is the feeling
Towards the day about to break
Ignorant of the fate it brings
A grin is hard to feign
Feign to create a face
A face to face the world

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I just woke up feeling not psyched up for the day and hope the day isn't holding any bad fate for me. Hope all will be well with me; contrary to my feelings this morning.
