I brushed through the evening sky,
Where birds flying high;
I grinned.
They’re free from everything human has,
I saw contentment in them.
Under the wings of protection,
Off…they go,
To somewhere I don’t know…
I frowned.
The birds had flew away,
I’m on my own,
Alone by myself…
I wondered,
Where had the birds flown to?
Where are they?
No one knows…
Darkness came settling
When the dusk welcomes the night,
Silence creped in…
I fumbled in the dark,
Not knowing how much the falls,
Still, keep pushing,
Pushing myself to search for the beam,
But it can never be found…
Far end,
God, came to my rescue…
I knew He loves me…
He showed me where the birds flown to,
He passed me a warm glow of candle light,
For not letting me go blind in the shadows,
But most of all,
To have the courage and hope,
to continue the drawn out journey…
