I waited all day you never came
there's a term called catfish
life can add my name

I never ever dated on the internet
oh-I looked on sites to see profiles
there some may resemble me
yet never would let any man get close
there's only one man I wanted most
now it will be hard to forget
the man I thought we did connect
beyond the internet
my poetmate did not apppear
yet he suddenly found a way
out of my branded heart
by disillusionment
abandoning fear
comes back around
and knocks me on my rear
real man to truth he frowned
so his choice was to disappear
now my poetess love I hold so dear
will someday go away with this
my heart-light
never to reappear

extinguished
by a journey
