A Lady In Marriage Poem by Visato Kiso

A Lady In Marriage

Find me, not the highly lady in marriage;
For I shall lay low, and lend myself away.

Find me, not the cleverest lady in marriage;
For I shall never be a true man.

Find me, not the rich lady in marriage;
For I shall sell my dignity; to bring my lady.

Find me, not the lady with long pre-fix name;
For I shall fail my daily duties!

Find me, not the most lovely face in marriage;
For I shall not be content'd, at home.

Find me, not the mouthful lady in marriage;
For I shall not forgo a day without a curse!

Lord! Find me a lowly lady that smiles;
That cares, that prays, that sings at work;
That keeps love and not too outspoken;
That blend families and friends;
For she well knew the rules:

Her name to many unknown, but I shall named her a phrase,
'I've lived my life with her in it'.
