A Lady Of 44 Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

A Lady Of 44

It was many a winter's ago
That came a lady of 44
Upon the valley of tomorrow.

She had a heart
As bright as the summer's sky
As warm as it's breeze
And through it she walked
And softly settled her wings.

She perched so lightly
Upon my soul
That nights became a madness
And the dawn
A story to be told.

Little by little
Her eyes took a hold
And
Little by little
A story did unfold.

And the days
Passed so quickly
And the nights
Grew warm and cozy.

Until winter
Blew her cold winds
And took her away
Ever so suddenly.

And years Passed
So sorrowfully
And time
Took her belongings
Until my heart was left
In but sweet agony.
