A Lesson I Did Not Know Poem by Sandy Germain

A Lesson I Did Not Know

The world shook my veins
And I inhale the truth
My mind was empty
The sun was black
And the tree stared at me
All alone in the forest

The world shook my veins
And I inhale the true
My mind was empty

The world....

And my blood was iced
And a piece of my soul left me
I cried to heaven...

I cried... A LESSON I DIDN'T KNOW
The lesson between passion and love

I cried until I lost my voice

Through my toes ran the water of the ocean
Stink fish came into my nose
It was cold... even colder
I cried... again I cried
That lesson...

Standing at the window...
And still I was dreaming

The world shook my veins
And I inhale the truth
My mind was empty

It was running
With a rock on my head
I stood at the window
And kept repeating

A LESSON I DIDN'T KNOW! ! !

Again I looked at around me
I could see the peace between us
Again... I was learning a lesson
A lesson before dying
A lesson that would give me a clue of life
A lesson...
Blind
Deaf
And still I was learning

A LESSON I DIDN'T KNOW!
The lesson between passion and love
My soul was far away
It was too late
My tears kept saying
A LESSON I DIDN'T KNOW
