A Letter Poem by Paolo Mikel Moro

A Letter

My journey began with just a single step
Crossing every puddles of down poured rain
As sky would lovingly stretch above me
And touches every surfaces of this sphere

Moonlight summons long shadows amazingly
Oh, I just can't believe how beautiful it is,
Holding every memories I had in the world
Like a beautiful dream I never awoke from

I'd cast lovely words as I search for you in this ground
Hope will entirely travel in every bit of my muscle
And my footprints can never be obliterated
The moonbeam shall show it you, someday

But sure demise would one day come to meet me
And my time may not be enough to be with you
But this letter would live as long as I have lived
To tell you my thousands of words about the world

I may not be able to give you my first promise
You may not be able to hear my first hello
But I am pretty sure that my first promise and hello
would soak somewhere in this lovely earth.

One day your turn will come for you to journey
You will see the things I have seen, so watch
You will too make this kind of letter, with love
So better have a good walk in this world

I love you, my future Son.
