A Letter To Covid-19 Poem by Iqmat Akande

A Letter To Covid-19

You are not my friend,
You took away my friends
Leaving me with absence
Thinking of how it could make sense
Covid-19
You are so deadly
Cleaning the world so dirty
Draining economies to no penny
I wish you leave pretty early
Covid-19
You are causing global recession
Welcoming wide depression
Reducing old population
But stylishly increasing new procreation
Covid-19
You've stayed enough
Leave us to adjust
We pray for your leave
We promise to make use of the lessons learnt
