(a Letter To My Sons) Written In The Sand Poem by Richy Alzy

(a Letter To My Sons) Written In The Sand

Sons,
Written in the sand-
A secret I wish not in a hurry share,
This I yet did you tell;
In pain lies great gain
So seek no succour in pleasure.
I saw, found and tasted.

Sons,
Written in the sand-
A code long hidden in espy of time.
Indeed tis in darkness encassed;
Decipher the inscription underneath,
Therein lies your greatness.
But this I bid you know,
Of no use is light if not in tunnel.

Yes, do you dare forget?
The key to the treasure Mine
I framed in a fiery furnace.
If fear you fail to fry,
Then ever a slave you remain.

Sons,
Written in the sand-
Is the mistery of destiny;
Beneath the deepest ocean lies great riches.
The tempest may roar; the storm may rage,
On the voyage, give no worry to being shipwrecked,
Pray like Jonah to be thrown overboard,
Only so will you battle the marine for wealth.

Sons,
Written in the sand-
Is the parable for heroism;
'Bid wine and women to wait
Till you get home.'
By the ruse her lips, the muse of her hips,
By the taste of a sip, the stupor so deep,
Many a heros are slain.

Lend me your ears sons,
It's bitter sweet the taste of love,
Loose not your hearts to its cold fire
Lest you are consumed in shreds.
If I be with you no more,
Like seeds plant these words
In the fertile soil of your hearts,
You have no life without hardship.
